SPEARHEART

Walter Kolade Spearheart, professionally known as SPEARHEART, is a multidisciplinary musician whose journey spans decades and continents. 

Beginning as a rap artist in the early 2000s, he has since evolved into a singer-songwriter, therapeutic harpist, and acoustic guitarist, blending genres with a deeply emotive and immersive sound.

Passionate about music’s power to heal, he performed therapeutic harp sessions in Cape Town hospices (2016–2017), earning recognition on Cape Town TV and an invitation to speak at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2017, he founded The HOLD ON Initiative, using music to foster unity among African nationals amid xenophobic tensions in South Africa. After returning to Nigeria, he introduced the harp to its live music scene, creating a distinctive sonic experience.

SPEARHEART has performed at Guinness Flavour Rooms 2018, Olamide Live in Concert 2018, and the Sound City MVP Awards 2019 and is also a TEDx speaker. 

Signed to Iris Music LLC in Atlanta in 2020, he has collaborated with industry greats, including Billboard-charting producer Nathan Walters, award-winning composer Michael Truth Ogunlade, and Grammy-nominated producer Brandon Blue Hamilton.

Drawing inspiration from Enya, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, The Corrs, James Blunt, and Lisa Lynne  - he crafts music that transcends borders, heals hearts, and inspires connection.
